Mrs. Kaelyn Blackburn
KRES Counselor

Hi there! I’m Kaelyn Blackburn, and I’m thrilled to be the school counselor for Pre-K, Kindergarten, 2nd, and 4th grades at KRES!

As your school counselor, my mission is to team up with our amazing teachers, families, and community to create a counseling program that uplifts every student. Whether it’s through one-on-one sessions, small group activities, classroom lessons, or school-wide events, I’m here to help every student shine academically, socially, and emotionally. I truly believe that every student has a unique spark, and I’m here to cheer them on and guide them every step of the way!

I recently completed my M.Ed. in School Counseling and hold a B.A. in Social Work, both from Wright State University—Go Raiders! While pursuing my Master's degree, I completed my internship at KRES and my husband, Scotty, graduated from Kenton Ridge High School, so I'm absolutely excited to officially be a part of the community that means so much to both of us.

When I’m not at school, you can find me on a walk with friends, having fun with my nephews, or drinking a delicious cup of coffee. Let’s make this an incredible year together!
